One accountable team for security that works
Sanit Engineering Consultancy was formed in 2006 by a group of IT professionals with over 20 years of combined experience. What began as an advanced technology centre has grown into a dedicated cybersecurity and information-security practice serving private, public and foreign clients.
Today our senior team delivers governance and compliance (ISO 27001:2022, GDPR, HIPAA), VAPT, 24/7 SOC management, AI-driven SIEM architecture and automation, cloud and infrastructure audit, application security, and data protection, under one roof, with a single point of accountability.

Director / Head of Operation
Wasantha Fernando is a senior technology and operations executive with over 25 years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise systems, ERP implementation and IT leadership. He has held senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer, Head of Delivery, Group IT Consultant, Group IT Head and Head of IT across leading organisations in Sri Lanka.
Throughout his career he has successfully led large-scale technology transformation initiatives, enterprise software delivery, ERP implementations and operational modernisation projects across multiple industries including telecommunications, financial services and software services. His expertise includes SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, IFS ERP, enterprise architecture, project management and strategic IT operations.
CMSugath Chandana Munasinghe
Architect / Technical Project Manager
Sugath Chandana Munasinghe is an experienced Sri Lankan IT professional specialising in enterprise software development, Microsoft technologies and digital solution architecture. He has a strong background in designing and delivering business applications using technologies such as ASP.NET, .NET Framework/Core, C#, SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks and enterprise integration solutions. He holds an MSc in Information Technology and has extensive industry experience working on enterprise systems across multiple business domains including logistics, healthcare, travel, HR, workflow automation and resource management systems.
His expertise spans full-stack software development, solution architecture, technical leadership, enterprise application modernisation, database design and optimisation, project and team coordination, and ICTA/government-standard software proposal preparation. He is also involved in cybersecurity-oriented initiatives and modern software-engineering methodologies including SOLID principles, scalable architecture and digital transformation solutions.
CLDr. Chanaka Lasantha Nanayakkara
Head of AI & Cyber Security
Dr. Chanaka Lasantha Nanayakkara is a distinguished cybersecurity strategist, academic and researcher with over 25 years of progressive experience spanning enterprise security architecture, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), artificial intelligence, cloud security and higher education. Currently serving as a Security Architect, he has established a strong reputation for integrating advanced cybersecurity practices with cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to address complex modern security challenges.
He possesses extensive expertise in Zero Trust Architecture, SOC operations, malware analysis, cloud security, intrusion detection systems, threat intelligence and multi-framework regulatory compliance including ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS, FedRAMP and NIST. He has led large-scale security transformation initiatives across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, delivering measurable improvements in operational resilience, compliance maturity and threat mitigation, with significant reductions in security incidents through AI-driven threat detection and automated response systems.
Academically, Dr. Nanayakkara holds a PhD in Information Security and Forensics, an MSc with Distinction in Network and Information Security from Kingston University (United Kingdom), and a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Colombo School of Computing. His research focuses on machine-learning-driven cybersecurity, adaptive defence mechanisms, cloud security intelligence, IP reputation validation and advanced anomaly detection. He is also an international lecturer in cybersecurity, blockchain, AI, cloud-computing security and advanced malware analysis, and an active contributor to the global research community through peer-reviewed publications and IEEE conference reviewing.

Over 8 years of experience in software programming across a range of technologies. A dynamic professional with strong, quick-learning ability, he works with AWS and GCP cloud technologies and Python as his primary backend language, delivering modern cloud-native software projects.
